Hello, my name is Jeff Thiel. I’m a State General Agent with American Income Life in St. Louis, Missouri. I’m with the Thiel Agencies. I’ve actually been building the Agency for a little more than five years now, and my opportunity with American Income Life presented itself at an opportune time. I come from a farming background – a very large farming family. All I ever wanted was to venture outside of the farming generation. I went to college, and after that I looked for an opportunity where I could advance based on my hard work as opposed to years of service.
So I jumped into sales selling real estate. It was a good market when I graduated but, as you guys know, the market took a nosedive. I kept my options open and came across American Income Life. When interviewing, the concept of commission and renewals was explained to me using real estate terms: You sell a house and get commission, when the owner makes their mortgage payment, you get paid again. Then the interviewer went on to explain that’s what happens with insurance. That completely sold me on the opportunity. When I transitioned to AIL, it was the greatest decision I ever made. Coming from the background that I did, I went ahead and just applied hard work, and within a matter of years, the hard work paid off. I currently own my Agency.
